& why it's the BEST way to freeze it!

My Experiment

A - Boil the cobs of corn, cut the corn off the cob, freeze. B - Cut the corn off the cob, boil and freeze. C - Cut (no cook), add corn to baggies, add brine and freeze.

Test "B" was by far the favorite!

Here's the best way to freeze sweet corn...


Step 1:  Shuck the corn and remove the silks.

Step 2:  Cut the corn off the cob.

TIP:  Hold the corn cob on the center part of an angel food cake pan and use a serrated knife to cut the corn off.

Step 3:  Add corn, water, salt and sugar to a saucepan.  Boil 5 minutes.

Step 4:  Pour the corn mixture into large shallow pans to cool completely.

Step 5:  Scoop into baggies and freeze!
