Churro Bites - Air Fryer OR Oven!

These light and crunchy Churro Bites have only three ingredients and can be made in the oven OR in the air fryer. Dunk them in chocolate and/or caramel sauce to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Course Appetizer, Dessert
Servings 6

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • ½ c sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • caramel and/or chocolate dipping sauce optional

  • Let the puff pastry set at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to soften it slightly, or until pliable enough to open the folds.
  • Lay the puff pastry flat and cut into 144 little squares (cut 12 strips one way and 12 strips the other way to make 144).
  • In a medium sized bowl, combine the sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  • To cook in the AIR FRYER: Spread some of the puff pastry squares on the rack of the air fryer, making sure they aren't overlapping. (Depending on the size of your air fryer, you might need to make a couple batches). Air fry for 4 minutes on 375°F; give the basket a shake (these are really light, so they might move around in the basket because of the air circulation). Air fry for another 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
  • To bake in the OVEN: Spread the puff pastry squares out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes or until the tops of the squares are golden brown.
  • Remove the puff pastry squares from the air fryer/oven and place them in the bowl of cinnamon-sugar. Carefully stir until all pieces are coated.
  • Serve with warm caramel or chocolate sauce, if desired.
