10 Minute Pork Chops

When cooked properly, pork chops are juicy and tender and go from fridge to table in 10 minutes!
Course Main Course

  • 2 to 4 bone-in pork chops 1-inch thick
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper (or seasoning of choice).
  • Place butter and olive oil in skillet and turn the burner on medium/high.  Once the butter is melted and the pan is hot, add the pork chops.
  • Cook uncovered for 4 minutes.
  • Flip the pork chops, cover, and reduce heat to low/medium.
  • Cook for 5 minutes and check the temperature by placing the probe in the middle of the chop, making sure it's not touching the pan.
  • The pork chops are done cooking once they are 145 F.  If they haven't reached that point, continue to cook in one minute intervals, temping after each one.
  • Once the chops have reached 145 F, remove them from the skillet and place on a plate.  Let rest for 3 minutes before slicing.
