Fireball Whiskey Apple Dumplings

These dumplings are super easy, rich and buttery, and are flavored with a splash of Fireball Whiskey! Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and you'll be on cloud nine!!!

  • 1 large Granny Smith apple*
  • 1 can regular-sized crescent rolls
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/4 c water
  • 1/3 c sugar
  • 1/3 c brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp Fireball cinnamon whiskey
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease an 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan and set aside.
  • Peel and core the apple and cut into 8 slices.
  • Open the can of crescent rolls and separate the 8 pieces of dough. Roll one piece of crescent dough around each apple slice and place in the prepared pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, water, sugar and brown sugar. Cook on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the whiskey. Pour around the dumplings.
  • Combine the 2 tbsp sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle overtop of the dumplings.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.


*If you would like to make peach dumplings instead, use two small peaches, remove the skin and pitt.  Then slice each into 4 sections and follow the remainder of the recipe as is.
