BBQ Sloppy Joes

BBQ Sloppy Joes are just as easy as the classic, but with a sweet 'n smoky twist! Creamy coleslaw topping is optional, but oh so good!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup prepared coleslaw optional

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, add the ground beef and onions.
    1 pound ground beef, 1/2 cup diced onion
  • Brown until no longer red; drain the excess grease.
  • Add the barbecue sauce, vinegar, and black pepper and stir.
    1/2 cup barbecue sauce, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Let simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  • Serve on hamburger buns with coleslaw, if desired.
    4 hamburger buns, 1 cup prepared coleslaw

Notes

This recipe makes 4 good-sized sloppy joes.  If making them smaller, you could definitely make 6.
