These dumplings are super easy, rich and buttery, and are flavored with a splash of Fireball Whiskey! Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and you'll be on cloud nine!!!
Open the can of crescent rolls and separate the 8 pieces of dough. Roll one piece of crescent dough around each apple slice and place in the prepared pan.
In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, water, sugar and brown sugar. Cook on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted.
Remove from the heat and stir in the whiskey. Pour around the dumplings.
Combine the 2 tbsp sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle overtop of the dumplings.
Bake for 35-40 minutes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

*If you would like to make peach dumplings instead, use two small peaches, remove the skin and pitt. Then slice each into 4 sections and follow the remainder of the recipe as is.
