Ground Pork Tacos are full of flavor and topped with all the classic taco toppings! Use this flavorful taco meat for hard shell or soft shell tacos, burritos and more!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • One 1 ounce packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 hard shell tacos shells or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup taco sauce
  • Other toppings if desired

Instructions

  • Brown the ground pork in a skillet; drain the excess grease.
  • Return the skillet to the stovetop and add the taco seasoning, salsa and water.
  • Stir and cook until thickened and bubbly; remove from the heat.
  • Spoon the taco meat into the shells and top with cheese, lettuce, pico, sour cream, taco sauce and/or any of your favorite taco toppings!

Notes

*You can use ground beef or ground turkey in place of the pork.
*Use hot salsa and hot taco seasoning to amp up the spice.
*Make a double batch and use the leftovers in this deliciously easy taco braid or sheet pan nachos!
