- 1 loaf frozen bread dough 1 pound, thawed
- 1/4 cup butter melted, salted or unsalted
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 1/2 cup pepperoni minis or quartered pepperoni slices
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- pizza sauce for dipping optional
Start by making sure your bread dough is completely thawed.
1 loaf frozen bread dough
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
1/4 cup butter, 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Place the thawed bread dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it out to a 12×15 inch rectangle.
Spread the melted butter mixture over the dough.
Top with the pepperonis and shredded mozzarella cheese.
1/2 cup pepperoni minis, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into 3 columns (about 4 inches wide) and 5 rows (about 3 inches tall).
Stack the rectangles and place them in a greased loaf pan.
Cover the pan with a clean towel or lightly cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. If you're in a hurry, 30 minutes should be just fine.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool for 10 minutes then remove from the pan and serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.

I use the Rhodes brand frozen bread dough that comes in 3 and 5 packs of 1 pound loaves. You could also use their dinner rolls (12 of them would be equal to 1 pound of the dough). If using the rolls, use a rolling pin to roll each one out to an oval shape then top with the butter mixture and stack as directed.
The oven works as a great place to let the bread proof. Let the oven preheat for just a minute or two, shut the oven off, and place the pan in the warm oven. Just be sure to remove the dough before preheating the oven!
Try adding different pizza toppings - diced onions and peppers, Italian sausage, etc. to customize these to your liking! Just don't add too much as it'll weigh down the dough!
