- One 18.3 ounce box fudge brownie mix
- One 8 ounce block cream cheese room temperature
- 1 tablespoon milk
- One 8 ounce tub whipped topping
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Pour the brownie mix in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring after each 20 seconds. The temperature of the center of the brownie mix should be at least 160F. Let cool completely. *This step is called "heat treating" the brownie mix and is purely done for food safety reasons. Place the cream cheese in a large bowl and beat until smooth.
Add the milk and cooled brownie mix and stir until well-combined.
Stir in the whipped topping and then the mini chocolate chips.
Spoon the dip into a bowl and sprinkle with additional mini chocolate chips if desired.
