Cheesy Garlic Rolls

These soft and cheesy garlic rolls are filled with a savory blend of butter, mozzarella and just the right amount of garlic! They're the perfect side for any meal and irresistible fresh outta the oven!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bread dough
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic*
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese divided
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  • *Before starting, make sure you have the frozen bread dough completely thawed as instructed on the package.
  • Grease a 9x9-inch square baking pan with cooking spray and preheat the oven to 350℉.
  • Place the thawed bread dough on a clean surface and roll it out to a rectangle (around about 14 inches by 10 inches).

  • Spread the softened butter on top of the dough.
    1/4 cup butter
  • Sprinkle the garlic on top of the butter. (Spread it out if needed.)
    1 teaspoon minced garlic*
  • Top with 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella, 3 tablespoons of the parmesan and the parsley.
    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • Roll the dough up nice and tight then use a serrated knife to cut the log into 9 equal-sized slices.
  • Place the rolls in the prepared pan (three rows of three).
  • Sprinkle with remaining cheeses then bake for 22-25 minutes.
  • Enjoy warm!

Notes

*If you don't have fresh minced garlic, you can use 1/4 teaspoon of granulated garlic instead.
*I use a 9x9 inch square baking dish.  If you don't have a 9-inch square pan, you could use a 7x11-inch pan.
*I also tested this recipe with a 13.8 ounce tube of refrigerated pizza dough and it turned out great (though I still prefer the frozen bread dough!).
