Crab Rangoon Pizza

This homemade Crab Rangoon Pizza has all of the characteristics of the Chinese takeout classic but in pizza form.  With a creamy sauce, plenty of crab meat, crispy wonton strips and a sweet & spicy sauce, it's truly a crab rangoon lover's dream!

Equipment

  • One pizza pan or baking sheet

Ingredients

  • oil for frying (can opt to air fry*)
  • 6 wonton wrappers
  • 6 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • One 13.8 ounce tube refrigerated pizza crust
  • 4 ounces crab meat real or imitation
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375℉ and grease a baking sheet or pizza pan; set aside.
  • Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a small saucepan to about 350℉.

  • Cut each of the wonton wrappers into 1/2 inch wide strips.

  • Fry a few wonton strips until a light golden brown and use a slotted spoon to transfer them onto a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat until the wonton strips are all fried; set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, soy sauce and garlic powder.

  • Unroll the tube of pizza crust onto the baking sheet and press it into a 14-inch circle.

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  • Sprinkle with crab meat and the mozzarella cheese.

  • Bake for 14-17 minutes, or unit the cheese is all melted and the crust is golden brown.
  • Top with sweet chili sauce, fried wonton strips and sliced green onions.

Notes

*To air-fry the wonton strips, pre-heat your air fryer to 350F, spray the strips with cooking spray and fry for a few minutes or until light golden brown.
