Easy Peach Cobbler

Easy Peach Cobbler is a super simple dessert with sliced peaches on the bottom and a buttery topping. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and you've got a mouth-watering dessert!

Equipment

  • One 2 quart casserole dish

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 29-ounce can sliced peaches in heavy syrup do NOT drain

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Melt butter in a 2 qt casserole dish (I use the microwave).

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour and baking powder.
    1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Add the milk and stir until combined.
    3/4 cup milk
  • Pour the batter over the melted butter; do not stir.
  • Pour the can of peaches (with the liquid!) over the batter; once again, do not stir.
    1 29-ounce can sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • Sprinkle the top with cinnamon, if desired.
  • Bake for 1 hour; the batter will rise to the top and the peaches will be on the bottom in a delicious sauce.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

This recipe is easy to halve if you want don't have several people to feed. You'll want to use a smaller baking dish.  Simply use 1/2 the amount of each ingredient (use a 15 oz can of sliced peaches) and decrease the baking time to 45 minutes.
