Ingredients

  • 1 10-ounce refrigerated thin crust pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese divided
  • 1/2 pounds ground Italian sausage cooked, crumbled and drained
  • 12 slices pepperoni
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • pizza sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the pizza dough onto the parchment paper and press into a rectangle.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese down the center of the dough, then add the sausage and pepperoni. Finish with the remaining cheese and Italian seasoning.
  • Use a pizza cutter to cut each side of the braid into 12 strips.
  • Fold the strips of dough over the filling, alternating sides.
  • Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and garlic powder, then brush over the warm braid.
  • Slice and serve warm with pizza sauce.
