Tuna Burgers
These tuna burgers are protein-packed, full of flavor, crisp on the outside and have a tender interior. Garnish with toppings of your choice for a quick and easy dinner idea!

- One 12 ounce can tuna in water drained
- 2 slices white bread torn into small pieces
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely diced celery
- 2 tablespoon diced red onion
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- hamburger buns, lettuce, tomato slices and tartar sauce for topping, if desired
In a large bowl, combine the tuna, bread pieces, egg, mayo, celery, onion and black pepper.
Divide the mixture into 4-6 even portion and form into burger patties (I typically do about 1 cm thick); set aside.
Bring a skillet to medium heat and add 1 tbsp butter, vegetable oil or spray with cooking spray.
Place the patties on the hot skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
Flip the patties and cook an additional 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce, if desired.
