Pumpkin crips in a small white ceramic dish and topped with melting ice cream.

Looking back on the top 10 recipes of 2019 makes me realize how much alike we are.  Yeah, like you and me.  Sure, we may be in different states (or heck, even different countries), but our love of sweets is pretty darn obvious as the list of Dance Around the Kitchen’s Top 10 Recipes of 2019 makes its debut.

Out of over 80 recipes, these were the top 10 with the most page views....

    #10. Pumpkin Churro Mini Muffins

Coming in at #10 was the Pumpkin Churro Mini Muffins.  This recipe came out in the fall and was a quick hit on the blog.  They’re super moist, full of fall flavors and simply cute and pop-able!

A pile of pumpkin churro mini muffins and one has a bite out of it.

    #9. Oh Henry Bars

Oh Henry Bars clenched the #9 spot on the list, which was no surprise as it was always a family favorite growing up.  With a buttery oatmeal base and a chocolate peanut butter topping, what’s not to love?!

a stack of 5 Oh Henry Bars on a wooden board.

#8. Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Bars

Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Bars slid into the #8 spot.  This really made me smile as it was a fun post to put together and a fun way to announce our pregnancy!  These bars are a little extra work (thanks to the layers upon layers of goodness!), but worth every bit of it.

A piece of salted caramel apple crisp bars on a wooden board.

    #7. Churro Bites

Coming in at #7 was the Churro Bites.  This might be the easiest recipe on the blog so far! With just three ingredients, they come together super quickly and are the most crunchy, sweet, cinnamon-y and addictive little bites!!

A tin full of churro bites with caramel being drizzled over it.

    #6. Triple Lemon Poke Cake

Triple Lemon Poke Cake comes in at the #6 spot for 2019 – a recipe that was a huge hit in the spring/summer months.  This cake is the perfect way to finish off a meal as it’s lemony and oh-so-refreshing!

A slice of triple lemon poke cake on a white plate and topped with a lemon wedge.

    #5. Praline Crunch

In the #5 spot was the Praline Crunch, another favorite of mine growing up.  The crunchy texture and sweet and salty flavors make it the ideal snack to munch on during the holidays (and let’s be honest – all throughout the year!).

A christmas tin heaping full of praline crunch.

    #4. Best Ever Baked Beans

Best Ever Baked Beans filled the #4 spot and was the only savory item on the list!  Although this recipe competed against some of the best desserts, the fact that it rose to the top half of the list just goes to show how tasty it really is!

A wooden spoon scooping up a spoon full of best ever baked beans from the pan.

    #3. Best Ever Scotcheroos

In third place was the Best Ever Scotcheroos!  I love that this was such a hit for a couple reasons….first off, it’s such an Iowa (or maybe a Midwest) tradition.  And second, I was SO determined to come up with THE best version of these tasty treats and might be a little bias, but I think I nailed it! 😉

A scotcheroo with a bite taken out of it on top of another piece.

    #2. Chocolate Cobbler

Our 2019 first place runner-up, was Chocolate Cobbler!  I almost didn’t post this recipe, because I wasn’t sure I loved the photos.  However, I knew the recipe was so delicious, I couldn’t hold back.  I’m sure glad I didn’t!!

A plate with a piece of chocolate cobbler and a scoop of ice cream.

And holding the title of Top Recipe of 2019 is….drumroll please.....

    #1. PUMPKIN CRISP!!!

It’ll take about one bite of this goodness to realize why Pumpkin Crisp took the #1 spot on the blog this year! The smooth, perfectly spiced pumpkin filling and the crunchy topping is truly a match made in heaven!
