Jump to RecipeIt’s no secret I’m a big fan of Oreo cookies! If you’ve been following Dance Around the Kitchen for awhile, you’ve seen lots and lots of recipes with Oreos in them.
I’ve done Oreo Mini Cheesecakes, Oreo Milkshakes, Oreo Dirt Cake and several more. Perhaps my favorite is the recipe for Cookies & Cream Cookies… soooo good! But today’s recipe is a rich, no bake pie that’ll impress you with how easy it is…..and how delicious it is! Let’s get started!
Ingredients Needed
- Pre-made or Homemade Chocolate Cookie Pie Crust
- Hot Fudge – You can use homemade or jarred hot fudge ice cream topping
- Cream Cheese – You can use full fat cream cheese or the 1/3 less fat cream cheese
- Powdered Sugar
- Whipped Topping (Cool Whip) – You can use the original, extra creamy, low-fat or sugar-free version
- Oreo Cookies – You are welcome to use knock-off brands, but Oreos just can’t be beat!
How to Make No Bake Oreo Pie
This no-bake dessert is so easy – one of the many reasons I love it!
You’ll start by adding a layer of fudge to the bottom of the crust. You want to warm the fudge up a bit so it’s easy to spread into the crust. Once you’ve smoothed it out to an even layer, set it aside.
Next, it’s time to make the Oreo pie filling. You’ll start by mixing the room temperature cream cheese and the powdered sugar until smooth. I find it easiest to use a stand mixer or an electric mixer to make sure the cream cheese is totally smooth.
Then, you’ll add the whipped topping and the Oreos. Once those are well-combined, it’s ready to go into the crust!
It’s a pretty thick filling, so I find that it works well to spoon it into the crust then smooth out the top.
Then you’ll cover the pie with plastic wrap (or the lid the pre-made pie crust came with) and refrigerate for 4+ hours. During this time, the cookies will soften and the flavors will all mesh together into the perfect dessert!
Making is pie gluten-free is super easy, thanks to Gluten Free Oreos! You’ll have to be sure to make a homemade Gluten Free Oreo cookie crust.
If you don’t have a pre-made Oreo pie crust, or simply want to make a homemade Oreo crust, it’s really quite simple!
Just two ingredients are needed to make the crust – Oreos and melted butter. First, you’ll crush the cookies using a food processor or a rolling pin until they’re in fine crumbs. Then, you’ll mix Oreo crumbs and the melted butter and press it into the bottom and up the sides of a pie plate. This is the recipe I follow.
When it’s time to serve, I like to dollop additional whipped topping on top of the pie and add extra Oreos. A little drizzle of fudge topping or chocolate syrup is a fun way to dress it up!
